What you will be doing as a Commerical Tire Technician: For tires (functions performed per TIA Commercial guidelines):Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location)Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels, using specialized equipmentInspect casings for defectsLocate and seal tire punctures (patch and plug)Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding or sandblastingFor retreads:Prepare retreads (discuss tread with customer, prepare work order, put in staging area, load on truck)Unload retreads (unload from truck and stack in warehouse area)For vehicles:Perform fleet inspections to assess tire needs and make recommendation to fleets as neededEquipment:Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacksSafely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to: safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticksOperate and maintain diagnostic equipment What boxes you have to check:At least 18 years of ageValid driver's license requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentPositive attitude and the ability to relate well with other employees and customersEmployer is an Equal Opportunity & Drug-Free Employer#PM25Requirements:PI05fcee97aaa8-25660-37698656
