Job DescriptionNorth American chemical producer, distributor,
and toll-manufacturer is looking to fill a strategic Business
Development Manager position in their Industrial Business Division.
The position will ideally be in the Terre Haute, IN area (within a
100-mile radius). This is a position focused on developing new
business and new accounts throughout the Central Indiana & Central
Illinois region and will require top-notch prospecting skills. This
is not an account management role; it's a "hunter" role. The
compensation level for this position is very attractive, and there
are excellent opportunities for advancement. There will be some
overnight travel, probably around 20%.Responsibilities: Develop new
product opportunities and applications for a broad range of raw
material industrial chemicals. Research for potential target
accounts. Make cold calls and new product and service
introductions. Fill the sales "pipeline" with new business
projects. There are multiple product lines, both specialty and
commodity, all used in a variety of industrial manufacturing
applications (ingredients in finished products, and process
chemicals). Call on all levels at prospective accounts. Develop
strong business relationships. Set up new product and service
trials. Manage all new accounts and business that is obtained.
Utilize a CRM program (SalesForce) to manage the pipeline.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal
management.Requirements: 5+ years of business development and/or
chemical sales experience to the industrial manufacturing markets.
A college degree is required, but the concentration is open.
Entrepreneurial attitude and curious mindset, with a "hunter"
mentality, comfortable with daily prospecting. A high level of
self-motivation. Good organizational skills. Excellent customer
relationship building abilities. Strong technical aptitude.
Knowledge of the general industrial manufacturing markets in the
Central Indiana & Central Illinois Region.Company Information:

significant growth year over year.Compensation: Base: $90,000 -
$120,000, commensurate with experience. Plus, a very lucrative
bonus plan based on new gross profit dollars brought in. This could
be substantial ($20,000 - $40,000+ is realistic range). It can be
