improving patient outcomes.The Opportunity:We are seeking an
experienced professional who is driven by deep customer insights
and strong business acumen to bring value to laboratorians,
physicians, and patients in the Cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
The Product Manager is a key owner of the Cardiometabolic
portfolio, responsible for developing a comprehensive
portfolio/product strategy, identifying product requirements and
market potential for new solutions in partnership with Global and
US colleagues, and maintaining and growing all on-market
Cardiometabolic solutions in the US. This includes the need for a
deep understanding of the Cardiometabolic disease area, market,
competition, and customer needs, as well as strong business acumen
in areas such as financial analysis, pricing strategy, business
planning and business case development, utilizing data to make
decisions, and forecasting.This role requires proven technical
prowess, exceptional project management and prioritization skills,
written and verbal communication, and the ability to lead and
influence without authority. Strong collaboration and stakeholder
management skills are crucial, as this role collaborates with
numerous business partners - Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights,
Finance, Pricing, MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply
and Demand Planning, Global, and other key stakeholders. This
individual will be the technical expert and the voice of the
customer, ensuring our portfolio remains competitive, high-quality,
and a leader within the market.This is a pivotal time in the
Cardiometabolic space, with multiple high medical value assay
launches planned over the next 2-3 years, as well as exciting
studies and data increasing the value of our existing portfolio.
The Cardiometabolic portfolio remains the top performing portfolio
in Core Lab, crucial to our success and continued leadership in the
Core Lab market. The Product Manager is a key player in the
long-term success of our business and should be excited for and
prepared to own and represent one of our most important disease
areas.Job Facts:
- The Product Manager, Cardiometabolic portfolio, reports to the
Group Marketing Manager and serves as a member of the Reagents team
- a team responsible for the product management of the full Core
Lab assay portfolio and pipeline (excluding Mass Spec)
- Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive
portfolio/product strategy that includes product requirements,
pricing strategy, and launch logistics to accomplish business
objectives
- Responsible for gathering customer insights and utilizing those
insights to influence the global Lifecycle Team on product
requirements for new and existing solutions
- Partners closely with the Senior Marketing Manager,
Cardiometabolic, to develop and execute on a comprehensive
portfolio strategy and drive adoption of new and existing solutions
across the US
- Successful partnership with large stakeholder network,
including Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights, Finance, Pricing,
MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply and Demand Planning,
Global, and as a valuable member of the US Cardiac Squad and other
product teams
- Develops business cases and pricing strategies for
Cardiometabolic assays in development or in the pipeline, as well
as understanding the performance of on-market and soon-launching
products to support the annual business planning process
- In conjunction with the demand planning team, is responsible
for gathering input and data to create product forecasts and
business plans that drive growth for assigned products
- Develops business area mastery, including understanding of
market segments, forecasting sales and product demand, market
trends, competition, critical success factors, and needs through
interactions with customers and other key stakeholders
- Supports customer conversations and presentations, including
but not limited to customer meetings, IHN visits, 360 events, and
medical conferences, in partnership with the Sr Marketing Manager,
Clinical Specialists, and MSA
- Instills leadership through others by acting as a role model to
drive impactful business solutions and positive change,
encouraging, motivating, and empowering others and helping others
to succeedWho You Are:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing,
or other Life Sciences or business-related fields
- You hold 5 years of product management, marketing, business, or
equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated business acumen, primarily in data-driven decision
making, developing financial business cases and pricing
recommendations, and forecasting
- Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership
skills; able to influence across a wider stakeholder network to
ensure business needs are met/exceeded
- Technical aptitude, with experience acting as a technical
leader OR proven ability to learn and speak to technical
topics
- Understanding of the Cardiometabolic market, customer needs,
and competitor solutions, or similar understanding of the broader
Core Lab market
- Detail-oriented and organized, able to independently drive
multiple projects, prioritize based on business-critical needs, and
independently make decisions and recommendations that represent and
align to overall business and portfolio strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong
presentation skills preferred
- Understanding of laboratory operations, health systems,
diagnostics business, and/or the proven ability to learn
quickly
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google suite tools
- Ability to travel in the continental US or globally as dictated
by business needLocation:
- This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus.
- No relocation benefits are provided for this role.The expected
salary range for this position based on the primary location of
Indiana is $97,800 - $181,600. Actual pay will be determined based
on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other
job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus
may be available based on individual and Company performance. This
