DescriptionIntroductionTerre Haute Regional Hospital is

RN Neonatal Intensive Care PRN position and spend more time at the
bedside with the patient.THRH is currently accepting applications
for Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for
our growing Level II NICU department which is expanding to 6 beds
due to increasing patient volumes. One year of previous Level II or
greater Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience preferred. Must be
willing to cross-train to Mother/Baby and/or Pediatrics. BLS
required upon hire, NRP certified within 6 months.

Haute Regional Hospital!Job Summary and QualificationsWhat will you
be doing in this role:
- Provides direct nursing care for the newborns and other
patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and
protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Performs neonatal assessment and provides appropriate
intervention
- Cares for patients requiring newborn care, feeding, IV,
medications, respiratory care including stabilizing and preparing
for transport.
- Performs routine newborn blood draws for laboratory tests
- Assists physician at Cesarean Section and vaginal
deliveries
- Administers medications following policy and procedure
demonstrating the 5 rights and knowledge of
pharmacokinetics
- Performs urinary catheterization on infants
- Assists with the insertion of umbilical line or chest tube,
with a spinal taps and intubation
- Assist with orientation of new staff membersWhat qualifications
you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing,
BSN preferred
- Current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nursing as a
Registered Professional Nurse or RN compact licensure
- Certification: BLS upon hire and NRP must be completed within
six months of hire and both must be maintained throughout
employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
- Prior Neonatal Intensive Care and STABLE certification
