• 29-bed Acute Medical Surgical Trauma Unit also provides Pre and Post-Surgical,Orthopedic and Medical care for overflow patients
• Our nurse to patient ratio is based on acuity
• Strengthen and expand your nursing skills while joining an awesome team where you will receive TCAT "Trauma Care After Treatment" training within a year of employment and America Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Life Support Certification) within 6 months of employment
• You will have passionate managers that support and encourage continuing education to achieve advancement in either nursing education or leadership andSPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -
  • Gives direct patient care based on knowledge of principles and practice of licensed practical nurse.
  • Assumes duties of medication nurse capably and with full knowledge of actions and untoward effects of medication being dispensed.
  • Performs treatment prescribed by physician and/or delegated by registered nurse.
  • Assists in patient education, rehabilitation and maintenance of health
  • Assists patients with all activities of daily living including but not limited to the bathing, positioning, range of motion, eliminating and ambulation.
  • Floats to other units as assigned
  • Functions as preceptor for new employees and students
  • Performs efficiently and maintains ongoing training with Meditech/Healthstream/E-Resources page.EDUCATION: -Required: Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nurse Program or Vocational Nursing School -LICENSURE: -Current State of Indiana LPN license and BLS certification required. - -EXPERIENCE: -Demonstrated proficiency in basic nursing skills, including phlebotomy -and LPN experience preferred.We are committed to providing our employees with the support they need.
