Job Summary and Qualifications The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.
  What will you be doing in this role:
  • Gives direct patient care based on knowledge of principles and practice of licensed practical nurse.
  • Assumes duties of medication nurse capably and with full knowledge of actions and untoward effects of medication being dispensed
  • Performs treatments prescribed by physician and/or delegated by registered nurse
  • Observes, records and reports to the registered nurse the patient's symptoms, reaction and progress
  • Assists in patient education, rehabilitation and maintenance of health
  • Assists patients with all activities of daily living including but not limited to the bathing, positioning, range of motion , eliminating and ambulation
  • Floats to other units
  • Functions as preceptor for new employees and students What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
    • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
