We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and Qualifications What will you do in this role: Gives direct patient care based on knowledge of principles and practice of licensed practical nurse.Assumes duties of medication nurse capably and with full knowledge of actions and untoward effects of medication being dispensed.Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patientObserves, records, and reports to the registered nurse the patient's symptoms, reactions and progressAssists in patient education, rehabilitation, and maintenance of healthCollaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient statusAssists patients with all activities of daily living including but not limited to the bathing, positioning, range of motion, eliminating and ambulationFunctions as preceptor for new employees and students What qualifications you will need:Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCurrent State of Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or active Compact State LPN/LVN license requiredGraduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program requiredBasic Cardiac Life Support certification requiredDemonstrated proficiency in basic nursing skills including phlebotomy This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
