Job Summary and Qualifications Terre Haute Regional Hospital is currently accepting applications for Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for our growing Level II NICU department which is in process of expanding to 6 beds due to increasing patient volumes. One year of previous Level II or greater Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience preferred. Must be willing to cross-train to Mother/Baby and/or Pediatrics. Apply today and join a team that is dedicated to serving others in need. · You will provide direct nursing care for the neonates and infants, including neonatal assessments, feeding, IV, medications, respiratory care, stabilization and preparing for transport if needed. · As a member of our team you operate all nursery/NICU equipment, perform routing newborn blood draws for lab tests and notify physician promptly of non-reassuring newborn status and provide patient and family education as needed. · Some key responsibilities for you in this role will be to assists physician at Cesarean Section and vaginal deliveries and to monitor, record and communicate patient’s condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation · Members of our team actively participate in the orientation of new personnel and have willingness to identify or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of unit and the nursing department. Requirements - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred - Current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse - Certification: BLS upon hire and NRP must be completed within six months of hire, and both must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital - Prior Neonatal Intensive Care and OB/Pediatric experience preferred Terre Haute Regional Hospital has provided quality healthcare services since 1882.
