Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift position requiring at least one year of acute care experience and an IN or compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in an acute care hospital Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring - 32-bed unit with patients receiving telemetry only if ordered and 24/7 monitoring - Patient population includes stable vent and Bipap patients, acute/chronic renal failure, dialysis, fluid overload, and general med/surg cases - IV drips include constant rate dopamine (non-titrating) for renal perfusion and heparin - Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week - Uses the Cerner EMR system in the unit - Responsible for managing care of diverse med/surg patient population including those with renal and respiratory needs - Some patients may require dialysis or Bipap care - Telemetry is monitored by dedicated staff around the clock - No orientation hours provided for this assignment /n /n Requirements/n - Active IN or compact RN license required - Minimum of 1 year recent acute care RN experience - BLS certification required - ACLS certification preferred - Experience with Cerner EMR preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-655364.
