ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work in Medical PCU with almost ICU level acuity caring for patients with multiple cardiac drips, stable vents, multi-organ failure, liver failure, and pulmonary conditions • Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days, nights, and weekends • Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required • Must be able to titrate cardiac drips, start IVs, interpret and manage dysrhythmias • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Charge experience preferred - charge pay available with $3.00 additional per hour • Must work every other weekend per contract, with possible consecutive weekends based on operational needs • Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at both University and Methodist Hospitals • Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students in this teaching facility • Travel with patients for procedures as needed • Care for adult and geriatric patient populations • Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions • Charting system experience with Cerner preferred • First time travelers accepted • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a teaching facility providing comprehensive healthcare services with Level I trauma designation.
