Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Charge Experience Preferred Experience with Fewer than 5 Patients Ratios Description: We are seeking a registered nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. This position involves working nights on a 12-hour shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a progressive care setting. Responsibilities will include managing multiple cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias. Candidates must be comfortable with starting IVs and titrating cardiac drips. Charge nurse responsibilities may be required based on operational needs. Travel nurses may be expected to float to different levels of care as needed. Candidates should be open to precepting students while on assignment. The unit provides care for adults and geriatrics with a high acuity level. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this role. Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs is required.
