Job Description Job Description Summary : Performs routine procedures in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards. Assists in performance of patient tests, manually and through use of automated clinical laboratory equipment, reagents and /or test methodologies. Demonstrates and fosters a commitment to patient satisfaction and teamwork. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform patient tests Assist with various research activities Record observations and measurements and report results Follow all guidelines as outlined by CLIA inspection including but not limited to Quality controls, Calibrations, Supply management, Linearity and validation. Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining clean room and equipment Assist with ordering, inspecting and stocking of materials and equipment Collect, Process, and package samples as needed. Any miscellaneous tasks assigned to them by the supervisor. Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Educational/Experience: Associates Degree in Applied Science MLT One-two year previous clinical lab experience License/Certification: Current CPR (must be maintained by employee), Valid drivers license if position requires oversight of more than one practice. Must have an active MLT/CLS License Language Ability: Written/language skills appropriate for documentation of patient assessments and care plan. Math Ability: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fraction and percentages to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft software products, and Epic management software (scheduling etc.)
