Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Indianapolis, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,969 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neuro Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Neuro ICU experience Comprehensive assessment skills Care of hemodynamically unstable patients Care of mechanically ventilated patients Thorough neurological assessment skills Description: The position involves providing critical care to patients in a neuro ICU setting. The unit specializes in the management of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, post-operative craniotomies, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors. Registered Nurses will provide care to a range of patients, with ratios varying between 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. The role requires proficiency with equipment including Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer. Experience with floating to other inpatient areas when the home unit has low census is required. Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy to effectively work as part of a team. Preferred skills include familiarity with pupillometers, EVD, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and electronic medical record systems.
