Job Purpose
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of
products and people during daily production. With regular
communication and collaboration with Supervisor and Maintenance,
the Team Leader effectively manages abnormal conditions and initial
containment of potential defects or issues, completes checks and
observations to confirm that quality is maintained and production
lines are running efficiently, and meets production quantities,
documentation, and daily data entry requirements.
Objectives of this role:
- Effectively facilitate day-to-day production activity,
documentation, and data entry
- Monitor production lines and effectively react to abnormal line
conditions
- Implement proactive Kaizen activities to improve production
output and identify safety concerns
- Improve team member performance with standard work observations
processRole Responsibilities
- Understand and assist in performing daily start up checks and
preventative maintenance assignments
- Perform machine change overs and set up, including NG master
and Failsafe confirmation
- Understand and operate individual process stations on all
equipment
- Clear all faults and conduct machine restarts
- Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance
to specifications
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve
production methods, increase equipment performance, and improve the
quality of the products
- Complete daily shift start-up meetings
- Effectively respond to abnormal conditions to maintain quality
and safety
- Lead containment activities and participate in defect sorting
activities
- Perform skill to judge certification
- Conduct standard work observations to identify line issues,
difficult work, and team member safety and ergonomic
issuesLeadership Responsibilities:
- Answer team member questions about production requirements,
production issues
- Collaborate with supervisor to ensure effective manpower
allocation to meet production needs. Required Competencies:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least two years of manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to perform basic math functionsPreferred Skills and
Qualifications
- Good understanding of manufacturing practices and
procedures
- Knowledge of existing machines or equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend Process and Equipment
instructions
- Ability to read inspection equipment (i.e. gauges and
calipers)
- Ability to lead a group of (1 - 12) team membersPosition
Type/Hours
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position that works primarily
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift plus overtime, and assigned to a
shift.Working Conditions
- This job operates in a professional office environment and/or
manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses automated
production equipment and standard office equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Frequently
the work environment may be loud, requiring hearing
protection.Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or
operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. The
employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance,
stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to regularly lift and move
up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and
occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision
abilities for this job include close vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Travel
- Occasional regional travel as requested by company with
