Principal Associate – Quality Advanced Analytics and AI is
responsible for identifying needs, developing projects and
executing AI and automation builds to accelerate the quality
transformation including assessing, piloting and implementing use
of Artificial Intelligence and other advanced analytics, upskilling
the quality workforce, and maximizing the business impact and value
of these tools. The lead owns the strategy for education,
integrating quality related digitalization initiatives, stewarding
prioritization, funding and partnering with Tech@Lilly resources on
delivery. This role will partner with Quality Management System
(QMS) transformation teams but focus principally on other Digital
and AI integration projects. The Sr. Principal Associate ensures
foundational quality data is appropriately governed, managed to
ensure advanced analytics can be utilized and meets data integrity
expectations. This position is responsible for leading
implementation of solutions that are novel and innovative,
providing technology co-pilots through automated approaches (e.g.,
automated categorizations, recurrence checks, generative AI,
anomaly detection). The lead partners with organizations globally
to deploy technology solutions to achieve quality operational
excellence and drive quality culture. Develop a general AI
education/awareness strategy for Global Quality, in conjunction
with Tech@Lilly digital upskill activities, to ensure understanding
of what is AI, provide AI case studies from industry to address
quality use cases, AI benefits, how AI can support better quality
decision making and signal detection. Work with SMEs across quality
to ensure AI and digitalization projects are integrated and not
overlapping or duplicative and results are available for quality
decision making. Support the development and submission of AI
project ideas to the Tech@ Lilly planning process. Act as Business
Lead to ensure prioritized AI projects are on track to meet
targeted delivery dates. Work at the right balance of having an
understanding of quality processes and principles but also
technical depth in automation and AI to ensure projects are scoped
in detail as they are submitted for consideration. Work with
Tech@Lilly and external partners to develop, prove the concept,
refine, and implement the use of advanced analytics for prioritized
quality opportunities. Partner with and Quality L&D to ensure
training programs are developed for the use of the quality advanced
analytics Partner with Data Integrity team to ensure data
governance expectations are appropriately implemented, enabling
advanced analytics. Drive solutions to improve processes for
consistent quality data capture. Partner to develop and improve
data models across global quality applications. Work across
organizations and functions to establish effective partnerships and
processes for digitalization. Establish and report metrics to
demonstrate the delivery of value to the enterprise. Basic
Requirements: BS, MS, or PhD in a field of science, engineering,
pharmacy, or medicine. Demonstrated experience in IT solution
delivery and support, ideally digitalization or AI applications. 5
years of demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry or
health authority in areas of cGMPs/cGxP’s and quality systems.
Additional Skills/Preferences: Broad knowledge of quality related
IT applications across Lilly. Demonstrated leadership acumen,
including project leadership. Demonstrated ability to build and
maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders; navigate
complex issues and find common ground with multiple constituencies.
Strong collaboration, negotiation, problem solving, and
interpersonal skills. Proven record of finding solutions with
adaptable, flexible, and open-minded approach. Demonstrated ability
to write technical documents, develop business presentations, and
effectively communicate the concepts to a wide range of personnel.
Additional Information: Ability to travel up to 10 %. Position is
located at Lilly Corporate Center in Indianapolis, IN or another
Lilly site and is not approved for remote work. This role requires

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $111,000 -
$162,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
