Associate Director – BI&A OBU HCP Analytics and Integration COMPANY OVERVIEW The Business Insights and Analytics (BI&A) team is a global analytics and insights function focused on driving improved patient and business outcomes through the delivery of strategic and innovative insights grounded in data and analytics. The Associate Director–BI&A OBU HCP Analytics and Integration- is responsible for helping the BU HCP marketing and sales teams make data-driven decisions. The Associate Director – BI&A OBU HCP Analytics and Integration collaborates with the Senior Director – BI&A OBU/IMM HCP Analytics and Integration. RESPONSIBILITIES and KEY OBJECTIVES Analytics Leadership Understand Brand/Business Unit strategies, market dynamics, and data sources to ensure analytics recommendations and key workstreams align to the broader organizational strategy Collaborate with a wide variety of teammates and business partners as a part of a highly matrixed organization Supply to an inclusive community within and outside of BI&A Identify, prioritize, and implement analytical solutions that provide data driven insights, help answer critical questions and meet business partner decision needs Facilitate the partnership, discussion and execution between BI&A data engineering team, BI&A Product Teams, and Tech@Lilly for the building and deploying of consistent datasets for analysis. Ensure business decisions are made with solid supporting evidence grounded in analytics that include actionable business insights and recommendations through effective communication Facilitate the documentation of code and methodology to increase reusability and efficiency across BI&A Lead and partner with external vendors when necessary Ensure compliance with all privacy and contractual obligations related to the use of data Influence product strategy and collaborate with your counterparts across BUs and analytic teams to ensure consistent analytics choices, data definitions, and business rules for analytics models to enable opportunities to scale across the enterprise Orchestrates and coordinates analytics work within team to efficiently triage analytics requests and help prioritize analytics backlog in partnership with the brands and BI&A leadership Provide analytics input for teams on business impact, biases, trade-offs with not only approach but implementation of the work Provide support and leadership in capabilities initiatives such as dynamic targeting, personalization, and the broad spectrum of AI work. Champion the use of marketing mix model results to advise investment decisions Support a prospectively designed and planned testing culture that rapidly tests, measures, and iterates on marketing content and activity Business Integration Assist in developing the BU measurement strategy and cultivate data-driven decision-making Articulate analytics proposition to business stakeholders and conducts diagnostics to identify novel use case opportunities Develop a deep understanding of business goals, customer journey, problems, business drivers, and challenges and associated TA-specific knowledge for brands Influence brand leads and help resolve brand strategy through the appropriate adoption of analytics solutions Prioritize the highest impact analytics work and collaborate with business leaders and multi-functional collaborators on trade-off decisions to improve business outcomes for Lilly holistically Translate analytics outcomes into business insights to recommend and guide business decisions Use data democratization (dashboard central) dashboard tools to provide analytics expertise and champion instructing the brands how to use the tools to derive insights in real time Independently query data and summarize key analytics results to quickly answer critical ad hoc business questions Facilitate development of automated solutions to answer brand partner’s most important business questions Partner with data science professionals in and outside of BI&A to present sophisticated models and technical processes in an easily digestible format and create organizational consensus for recommendations Basic qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience with 4 years' experience. Additional skills / preferences Quantitative background in engineering, statistics, mathematics, finance, or related Strong analytical skills coupled with an eye for business, and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment Ability to query relational datasets using SQL Demonstrated ability to communicate analytics concepts and influence change with a variety of business collaborators Superb communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail Broad awareness and solid understanding of descriptive through prescriptive analytics Experience with 3rd party patient level claims data Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools Sophisticated competence in Coding Language (R, SAS, SQL, etc) Consistent history in delivering complex multi-functional projects Ability to effectively influence individuals from executive to associate levels Additional information 5 - 20% travel depending on business need Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions. The anticipated wage for this position is $126,000 - $184,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
