Job Description Job Description OTR (Over-the-Road) Truck Driver
– Job Description Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and
experienced OTR Truck Driver to transport freight safely and
efficiently across state lines. The ideal candidate is
safety-focused, dependable, and committed to on-time deliveries.
Responsibilities: Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
on long-distance routes. Transport freight across multiple states
in compliance with all DOT regulations. Perform pre-trip and
post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Ensure cargo is properly
loaded, secured, and delivered without damage. Maintain accurate
electronic logs (ELD) and required documentation. Follow Hours of
Service (HOS) regulations. Communicate regularly with dispatch
regarding load status and delivery updates. Report mechanical
issues or delays promptly. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of
assigned equipment. Provide professional customer service at pickup
and delivery locations. Qualifications: Valid CDL (Commercial
Driver’s License). Current DOT medical card. Clean driving record.
Minimum 1–2 years of OTR driving experience preferred. Ability to
pass a drug screening and background check. Strong knowledge of DOT
regulations and safety standards. Ability to travel for extended
periods (2–3 weeks out, depending on schedule).
