Job Description:
Director ADM Trucking- Decatur, IL Position Summary: ADM is
seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director to oversee
all aspects of ADM’s private truck fleet, ADM Trucking Inc. ADM
Trucking is a 550 truck private fleet that delivers bulk dry and
liquid freight to our food grade customers. Based in Decatur, IL,
this position plays a critical role in maintaining our commitment
to operational excellence, safety, and regulatory integrity. Key
Responsibilities: Terminal Operations: Ensure full compliance with
all DOT and FMCSA regulations across company operations. Implement
continuous improvement strategies across the trucking business unit
Maintain and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
in line with current federal and state requirements. Develop and
support safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with
company standards and regulatory compliance. Oversee the owned
truck wash facilities and truck repair shops Oversee implementation
and compliance to ADM Trucking Quality and Food Safety programs and
policies Monitor operating costs and execute cost reduction
strategies where possible Commercial management: Partner with
commercial teams to ensure that the private fleet is positioned,
staffed and trained to support our customers. Develop and maintain
market based pricing to ensure that ADM business units have
competitive freight rates for the lanes that they ship Partner with
Traffic and Logistics teams to ensure that the private fleet is
positioned in areas that provide ADM a competitive advantage Work
with plants to ensure that the private fleet hauls inbound process
materials that can be hauled in food grade equipment. Collaboration
& Training: Support and train trucking leadership teams on
operations and commercial related practices and procedures. Ensure
that Training and development programs are in place and implemented
through the trucking organization. Collaborate with legal teams
during litigation, audits, and investigations. Oversee operations
related to the transportation of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT).
Recruiting and retention: Oversee recruiting efforts for truck
drivers, mechanics, wash bay and supporting staff Ensure that we
have a retention program that includes, recognition, development
and continuous improvement Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s
degree required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience
managing trucking fleet operations preferred. Strong understanding
of 49CFR and DOT regulations Strong understanding of FMCSA
compliance Skills: Strong written and verbal communication,
including public speaking. Experience with compliance software and
tools such as McLeod, Samsara, RMIS, Bi-Pro, onboard telematics
(including camera technology), HireRight, TenStreet, Microsoft
Office Suite, Coupa. Knowledge of HAZMAT transportation regulations
