organization is doing amazing research impacting patients around
the world. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated
biomarker scientist with a solid background in Neuroscience to join
our growing Biomarkers Unit at Lilly’s Indianapolis Lilly Research
Laboratories site. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker
and understand Neuroscience with a broad range of biochemical or
pharmacology skills. You will be part of a diverse group of
research scientists, clinicians, statisticians, and business
professionals working with internal and external partners across
multiple geographical locations. Our group seeks to identify,
explore, and deliver on therapies for novel neurodegenerative
disease targets, by developing biomarker solutions across a broad
range of therapeutic platforms to support our preclinical and
clinical portfolio. Responsibilities: Develop and implement
innovative approaches to gain new insights into neurodegenerative
diseases through biomarker identification and validation. Work with
project leads and cross-functional partners while mentoring junior
associates to design and execute in vitro experiments for
preclinical evaluation of therapeutic molecules. Guide sample
preparation from rodents, non-human primates, and humans. Plan and
execute method development, optimization, and sample analyses. Use
automation for low/medium/high throughput assays. Validate assays
for preclinical and clinical sample analyses. Use statistical
analyses and data visualization software for data analyses.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills by: Documenting
experimental results in an electronic lab notebook. Presenting data
and conclusions to leadership and decision-makers across functional
boundaries in a clear, balanced, and compelling manner.
Contributing to technical reports and publications. Perform general
laboratory housekeeping tasks. Work independently and within a
flexible team-oriented environment. Prioritize and execute multiple
tasks simultaneously while adapting to changing project needs and
timelines. Basic Requirements: PhD in Biology, Biochemistry,
Neuroscience, or related scientific discipline with 1 years
industry, academic, or postdoctoral experience. Additional
Skills/Preferences: Must have in vitro biomarker assay development
skills. Demonstrated expertise in cell and molecular biology
techniques. Proficiencies in designing neuroscience-relevant
pharmacological experiments across neuroscience indications.
Knowledge of CNS anatomy and tissue dissection, biofluid
collection, tissue processing/preservation, and histology. Join Us:

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $121,500 -
$198,000 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate
in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits;
eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug
