Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Indianapolis, IN Agency:
Mindlance Health Pay: $35 to $40 per hour Shift Information: Days -
5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 3 Months Start Date: ASAP About
the Position Summary: Testing production samples on chemistry and
Automated Immunology platforms. This Tech role is for IVDR
remediation support. Determine the acceptability of specimens for
testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and
complex technical procedures and functions according to
departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Position
Responsibilities: Responsibilities are interchangeable within job
titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist
or clinical laboratory scientist. Work environment/department will
be listed in requirement. Determine the acceptability of specimens
for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and
complex technical procedures and functions according to
departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and
troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding
testing and problem solving. Prepare, test, and evaluate new
reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results to
deliver quality patient care. Perform and document preventive
maintenance and quality control procedures. Identify and replenish
testing bench supplies as necessary. Assist with processing of
specimens when needed. Maintain a safe work environment and wear
appropriate personal protective equipment. Requirements Required
Skills: Minimum 1 year of CLIA lab experience Minimum 6-months of
pertinent clinical laboratory testing experience is required. Some
instrument experience We’ll need an individual to have clinical
laboratory testing experience at the level of a Medical Laboratory
Scientist/Technologist within a core laboratory. Education
Requirement: MLT, MT, Bachelors of science with minimum 12 hours of
Biology and 12 hours of Chemistry credits
