Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 13, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Kokomo, IN, requiring charge experience and AHA-certified ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Details - Work in a 15-room Emergency Department seeing approximately 100 patients per day - The hospital also includes a 13-bed ICU, Med/Surg, PCU, Acute Rehab, and Level 2 OB units - 24/7 support from Respiratory Therapy, ER providers, and a hospitalist team on site - Night shift: 19:00–07:30 - 13-week contract Requirements - Active IN or Compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required - Charge nurse experience required; must be comfortable in a charge role - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be AHA-issued - TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years) - NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years) - CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — must be an 8-hour course, updated every 2 years - Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address - Two professional references required for consideration - Copy of Driver's License required for consideration - Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration Additional Information - Provide emergency nursing care across the full spectrum of ER patient presentations - Local candidates are accepted; however, local candidates may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility - COVID vaccination is not required for this position American Traveler Job ID P-685989.
